Dec – Apr
Snorkel with turtles, Havelock
A four-night beach-cottage stay on Radhanagar, three guided shallow-reef snorkels at peak turtle-feeding hour, an underwater photographer included on day three.

Green turtles feed on the seagrass beds off Havelock and come up to breathe on a rhythm you can read within an hour, which is what turns a swim into something you can plan around rather than hope for.
December to April is when the sea is flat and the visibility holds. Shallow reef means no tank and no certification, and the rule is the same as it is everywhere: look, do not follow, and never touch.
The shape of it
Day 1
Radhanagar
Into the beach cottage. Nothing in the water on the first day.
Day 2
First snorkel
Out at peak feeding hour over the seagrass beds. Shallow reef, so no tank and no certification needed.
Day 3
Second snorkel, with the photographer
The underwater photographer is in the water with the group on this day.
Day 4
Third snorkel
The last of the three guided swims, once you know the turtles' breathing rhythm well enough to plan around it.
Day 5
Off the island
The ferry back.
