Iraava is a collection of homes, hosts and storytellers building a slower, more intentional way to see India. We are not a marketplace with a curation tab bolted on — nothing self-lists here, and the list is short on purpose.
Every property in our circle is visited, photographed and felt before it joins us. Then it is offered at the lowest rate you will find for that stay, anywhere. Book it through Iraava and you book it for less.

Where it started
A quiet room for hosts
Iraava began as @airbnbhostcommunity on Instagram — a room for people who had poured years into a house. A cottage restored beam by beam. A courtyard home nobody had photographed properly in fifty years.
What we saw
The same five photographs
Every one of those homes reached the world flattened into the same five photographs, in the same grid, under the same star rating, beside a hotel. The homes were not unbooked. They were unseen.
What we built
A catalogue, not a listings page
A curated booking platform across seven terrains, where you search live availability, send a request that holds your dates immediately, and a person — not a queue — confirms the stay with the host.

City by city, and a forest along the way
Pan-India in five years, built one city at a time, with a native sapling planted for every confirmed booking in the terrain the stay sits in.

From the founder
I started Iraava in a comment section.
It was an Instagram page called @airbnbhostcommunity — a quiet room for hosts who had put their soul into a rare, beautiful home. A cottage a family had restored beam by beam. A courtyard house nobody had photographed properly in fifty years.
And every one of them reached the world as the same five photographs the OTAs show for every property, in the same grid, under the same rating, next to a hotel. That is the part I could not get over. Not that those homes were unbooked — that they were unseen.
So Iraava is the thing I wanted to exist. We go to the house. We photograph it properly and write about it like a place rather than a product. Nobody buys their way onto this list. And we take our commission from the host, never a markup from you — if you cannot book the same home here for less than anywhere else, there is no honest reason for us to be standing between you and them.
The rest of it is deliberately slow. Your request holds your dates straight away, but a person confirms every single stay. Nothing is charged when you ask. Change your mind and you can move it or cancel it right up to the day you arrive. It does not scale beautifully. It is the part I would never give up.
We are building this city by city — pan-India in five years — and for every stay confirmed here a native sapling goes into the ground in the terrain you slept in, because the fastest way to lose the India worth travelling to is to travel through it carelessly.
